1. Replace the Remote Battery
This sounds obvious, but dead batteries cause roughly 40% of remote failures. Most LiftMaster, Chamberlain, and Genie remotes use a CR2032 3V lithium coin cell battery. The battery typically lasts 1–2 years with normal use. Pop the back cover off, swap the battery, and test.
